CutversePrivacy Policy

This policy explains what information the Cutverse apps for iPhone and Android and the website cutverse.app ("Cutverse", "we", "us") handle, and why. The short version: you edit on your phone, and your photos, videos and recordings stay on your phone.
1. Your media stays on your device
Cutverse is an offline editor. The photos, videos, audio, voiceovers and camera recordings you use, the projects you create and the files you export are stored and processed only on your device. We do not upload them, we cannot see them, and we do not keep copies on any server.
All AI features — captions, video translation, object removal, background removal, face retouching, styles and upscaling — run on models stored on your device.
2. Permissions the app asks for

You can change these permissions at any time in your phone's settings.
3. Captions model download
The first time you create captions, the app downloads its speech-recognition model (about 474 MB). On iPhone the download is delivered by Apple's App Store, and on Android by Google Play. Copies of the app installed from elsewhere download it from our website. Like any download, the server that delivers it sees technical information such as your IP address and device type. The download does not include any information about you or your media.
4. Advertising
Cutverse is free and is supported by ads provided by Google AdMob. To show and measure ads and to prevent fraud, Google may collect information such as your device's advertising identifier (the Android advertising ID, or on iPhone the IDFA if you allow tracking), IP address, device model, operating system, app version and how you interact with ads. Google's use of this information is governed by Google's Privacy Policy; you can learn more at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
On iPhone you can allow or deny tracking at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. On Android you can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalized ads in Settings → Google → Ads (or Settings → Privacy → Ads). Where required by law, for example in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, the app asks for your consent before personalized ads are shown.
5. Text-to-speech
Features that generate a voice (for example the video translator and text-to-speech) use the text-to-speech engine installed on your phone. That engine is provided by your phone's system (Apple on iPhone, usually Google on Android); its handling of text is governed by its provider's policy.
6. Information we do not collect
- No account, name, email address or phone number is required.
- We do not use analytics or crash-reporting services in the app.
- We do not sell personal information.
7. Sharing your exports
When you choose to share an exported video to another app (for example Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, WhatsApp or Telegram), the file is handed to that app by your phone's operating system. What happens next is governed by that app's own policy.
8. Data retention and deletion
Projects are kept on your device until you delete them. Deleted projects move to the in-app Trash and are removed permanently after 30 days, or immediately if you empty the Trash. Uninstalling the app removes all of its projects and the downloaded captions model. Videos you exported to your gallery remain there until you delete them.
9. The website
cutverse.app is a static website hosted by Cloudflare. It does not use cookies, analytics or trackers. Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses to deliver the site securely; see Cloudflare's Privacy Policy. If you email us, we use your email address and message only to reply to you.
10. Children
Cutverse is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal information, or to object to its processing. Because we do not store your media or account data, most of these requests concern Google's advertising data, which you can manage through the settings above. For anything else, contact us.
12. Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Significant changes will also be announced in the app.
